Brooke Harrington is Professor of Sociology at Dartmouth College in the United States. Her research examines the social underpinnings of markets, and for the past dozen years has focused on professionals in offshore finance. She is the author of Capital without Borders (Harvard, 2016), winner of an American Sociological Association Outstanding Book Award (section on Inequality, Poverty & Mobility). Her articles have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Annual Review of Sociology, Human Relations, Socio-Economic Review, Social Psychology Quarterly and Family Business Review, as well as in the Washington Post, the Guardian, and the Atlantic.
