Dina Brode-Roger

Dina Brode-Roger received her PhD in Cultural Studies from KU Leuven, Belgium where she has continued on as a Research Fellow. Dina uses an identity-of-place framework and visual methods of inquiry. Most of her work has been done in Svalbard but her projects are now extending into Iceland (from 2023) and Greenland (from 2025). You can read more about her by clicking here.

In 2022, Dina received the Rachel Tanur Memorial Visual Sociology Award.

In 2023, Dina was awarded a Grímsson Fellowship to conduct work in Iceland.
