Tuire Liimatainen

Tuire is currently a Research Fellow at the Research Fellow at the Migration Institute of Finland researching Finnish digital diasporas at the Migration Institute of Finland. She completed her phd on ‘Finnishnesses in Sweden: The Discursive Construction of Ethnicity in the Landscape of Social Media’ at the Centre for Nordic Studies at Helsinki University. Tuire has also carried out research on what ‘Nordic added-value’ means and it part of the research group Reimagining Norden in an Evolving World, which brings together researchers within the social sciences and humanities from across the Nordic region, and she has taught course in, for example, Nordic Societies and Cultures, and has been a visiting scholar at Berkeley in the United States.
