Janet Garton is Emeritus Professor of Scandinavian Literature at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. She has published extensively on C19th and 20th Norwegian and Danish literature, and has most recently edited several volumes of Amalie Skram’s letters and written a biography of her, as well as producing annotated original-language editions of her novels Constance Ring and Forraadt. She has also translated many writers, e.g. Jan Kjærstad, Johan Borgen, Bjørg Vik, Herman Bang and Kirsten Thorup. She is a director of Norvik Press. Read more about Janet Garton here.
