Margrét Gunnarsdóttir

Margrét is a historian and an archivist at The National Archives of Iceland. Her main research interests are the political and economic history of Iceland from 1750 to 1850. She is a doctoral candidate in history at The University of Iceland. Her thesis examines the development of free trade in Iceland from the years 1751–1791, during which period Iceland was under the sovereignty of the Danish Crown.
